Referee Training
Desert Foothills Basketball is one of the largest recreational and competitive basketball clubs in the state of Arizona. We are always looking for qualified and motivated individuals who are interested in getting involved in a well organized and fun recreational league to work as referees for our league games. Desert Foothills Athletic Club uses Adult volunteers and High School and College students to referee games for both our Winter and Summer recreational league games.DFAC will hold a referee training class in November/December of 2009 with exact date, time and location TBD. More information will be posted on this website in early November.
This training class is for new referees and a re-fresher class for past referees. We encourage any new and past referees to attend this class. We also encourage DFAC coaches to attend this class. Our training is minimal and the focus is to give referees the basics for our recreational league. Our league uses different rules based on age groups ranging from 1st grade through High School. If this is something that you want to consider, basically a volunteer position, we would love to have you help.
